Judith Lomba, founder and president of Synoptics Research, LLC, has been involved in the design of virtual reality programs since 1994. She was primary consultant and subcontractor for the National Cancer Institute's Small Business Innovation Research grant #1-R43-CA74603-1A1, awarded in 1998 to Interface Technologies, Inc. She also designed and developed content for the Youth and Violence software program, an immersive, interactive virtual reality intervention for at-risk youth. Ms. Lomba has maintained a private therapy practice for the past eighteen years, specializing in pain management, behavior modification, motivation, and conflict resolution. She serves as a motivational speaker, teacher, and career consultant, as well as manages the daily business of running Synoptics Research.
